Our Vision
& Mission

Connecting Peace to
Sustainable Development

Peace is not just a goal
it's the foundation.

At House of Peace (HOPe), we believe that building peaceful and inclusive societies is essential to achieving all the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our work is rooted in SDG 16: Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions, which acts as both a catalyst and a connector for progress across health, education, equality, and poverty reduction.
Through community-driven initiatives that promote trust, inclusion, and civic engagement, we help turn peace into a living, local force for sustainable change. Every step we take supports not just SDG 16, but a broad ecosystem of goals—proving that when peace grows, so does opportunity.

Peace empowers development.

Development sustains peace.

Multidimensional Peacebuilding

Through three core programs, we work with communities to build trust, resolve conflict, and promote sustainable peace.

Pathways to Peace

Economic Relief, Access &
or Sustainability at the Community Level

Peace begins with dignity and stability. This area focuses on easing economic hardship and building local resilience, whether through food distribution, symbolic price services, solar energy, or community led systems. From urgent relief to long-term solutions, these initiatives ensure basic needs are met sustainably and locally.

Community Livelihood Creation

Real peace requires opportunity. This area uplifts community members by creating income, generating pathways beyond the implementing team, training others in skills, creating markets, or supporting collective business ventures. It’s about shared livelihoods, not individual gain.

Psychosocial & Emotional Well-being

Peace is emotional as much as structural. This area supports spaces where people feel seen, supported, and safe, through healing, creative expression, mental health care, or peer support. These efforts nurture personal resilience and collective care.

Child Development & Protection

When children are safe, engaged, and supported, the future becomes brighter. This area promotes environments that nurture children’s full development, socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively. Activities may range from safe play spaces to mobile learning, always centering children’s well-being.
